Ms. Harris has worked in the healthcare industry for 20 years. She holds a Juris Doctorate degree and a Bachelor's in Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Memphis. She also holds a degree in Respiratory Therapy and worked as a clinician for many years. She is certified in healthcare compliance (CHC) from the Healthcare Compliance Association and is a certified healthcare auditor (CHA) from the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance. She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Healthcare Compliance Association, the American Institute of Healthcare Compliance and the Tennessee and Memphis Bar Associations.
Before starting her own law firm, Ms. Harris practiced civil litigation with the Law Offices of Gary Green, Memphis, TN. She has also volunteered with the City Memphis' City Attorney's Office; worked as a law clerk with the Honorable Charmiane G. Claxton of the United States District Court for the Western District of TN; and provided Pro Bono services while working with Memphis Area Legal Services.
Ms. Harris' professional experience includes working in various leading hospitals in the United States including: Baptist Memorial Hospital, Memphis, TN; Methodist University Hospital, Memphis, TN; Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis, IN; and Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. She has worked one-on-one with physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals which has given her a unique appreciation for the busy healthcare professional. Her experience as a clinician as well as her ability to navigate through complex healthcare laws were the driving forces in establishing her own health law firm.
Sheba C. Price, MSN, RN
Ms. Price has been a Registered Nurse for 23 years. She has a Master's in Executive Nursing from the University of South Alabama, a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of MS for Women, and an Associate's degree in Nursing from Itawamba Community College.
Ms. Price began her career as a staff nurse at North MS Medical Center, Tupelo, MS. After several years as a staff nurse, Ms. Price was promoted to several positions including: Nurse Manager; Charge Nurse; Nurse Educator; and Policy and Procedure Coordinator. While working as Nurse Manager at North MS Medical Center, she managed a 30-bed unit with forty employees and a three million dollar operating budget. In her roles as a Nurse Educator, Charge Nurse, she was responsible for performing Quality Assessment and Review of medical devices, educating staff and students on best nursing practices to ensure compliance with state and Joint Commission regulations. She was also responsible for performing auditing and monitoring of medical charts to ensure accurate billing. As the Policy and Procedure Coordinator, she reviewed and updated hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
Ms. Price is a well-respected professional and educator in nursing. She has been called upon by various nursing organizations to give keynote speeches concerning best practices in patient care.
